A conversion test should be performed between BeMob and your affiliate network to ensure that all conversion data is transmitted accurately and in full.
Required and Optional Parameters:
During the test the following parameters should be passed via postback:
BeMob only records conversions that contain a valid click ID.
Used to record the revenue amount for each conversion.
Helps prevent duplicate conversion entries and provides with the additional data such as order ID.
Can be used to track conversion states such as approved, pending or rejected.
Any additional information related to the conversion (e.g., conversion type: sale, install, download).
BeMob accepts and records only those conversions that include a valid click ID. This ensures accurate attribution between your campaign, traffic source and affiliate network.
How the Conversion Process Works:
1. Visitor Clicks the Ad
John Doe clicks your campaign link.
2. BeMob Registers the Visitor's Click
BeMob records the visit and generates a unique 22-character Click ID, for example: AMDT2idsBZnMWZjKDBbemx
The generated Click ID is stored along with other characteristics of the John Doe's click such as country, browser, OS, device, zone ID etc.
3. BeMob Passes the Click ID to the Affiliate Network
The generated Click ID of John Doe is sent to your affiliate network.
This lets the affiliate network know that a visitor has accessed the offer page.
4. Affiliate Network Stores the Click ID
The affiliate network stores the Click ID for future reference in case John Doe completes a desired action – conversion.
4. Conversion Occurs
John Doe performs the target action — such as making a purchase or installing an app — the affiliate network registers the conversion on its side.
5. Affiliate Network Sends a Postback to BeMob
The affiliate network sends a postback request to BeMob, containing:
The original Click ID (e.g., AMDT2idsBZnMWZjKDBbemx)
Optionally, payout and other custom conversion data
6. BeMob Validates and Records the Conversion
BeMob checks the Click ID received in the postback whether it exists in its database.
If the Click ID matches a previously generated one, the conversion is recorded successfully in BeMob.
If the Click ID is missing or invalid, BeMob does not register the conversion.
7. Conversion Appears in BeMob Dashboard
The recorded conversion becomes visible in BeMob next to the related campaign, offer, and affiliate network.
It is also listed in the Conversions tab with complete tracking data.
Before launching an advertising campaign and submitting your campaign URL to a traffic source, your affiliate network may request that you perform a conversion test.
This test is designed to confirm that conversions can be properly tracked and attributed between BeMob and the affiliate network.
In many cases the affiliate network performs this test by sending a simplified postback request, for example:
http://12xx34.bemobtrcks.com/postback?cid=123456789
or
http://12xx34.bemobtrcks.com/postback?cid=test+sub1&payout=1.00&txid=123test123&status=0
instead of using a valid BeMob Click ID such as:
http://12xx34.bemobtrcks.com/postback?cid=AMDT2idsBZnMWZjKDBbemx&payout=1.00&txid=123test123&status=0
This approach bypasses an essential step in the process — the generation of a valid Click ID, which should occur when a real user clicks your campaign link.
BeMob accepts only those conversions that contain a valid Click ID generated during an actual visit of the ad campaign link.
When the affiliate network sends a placeholder value (e.g., 123456789 or test+sub1), BeMob identifies this as invalid data and rejects the conversion.
As a result:
The postback request is logged in the Errors section of BeMob.
No conversion record appears in your BeMob reports or campaign dashboard.
When you access the Errors tab on the side of BeMob, you may see the “Invalid Click ID” or “Click ID nor specified” errors which mean that you click ID is not passed correctly from the affiliate network.
In principle a conversion test is not required if:
When both configurations are correct, the tracking setup should function automatically — each valid click and conversion will be recorded without additional testing.
However in practice many affiliate networks require the test meantime do not handle postback testing correctly or use placeholder data.
To avoid tracking errors and ensure proper validation, we recommend performing a manual conversion test following the steps below.
Some of the affiliate networks can perform the test using the ad campaign link.
All you need to do is to create the campaign in BeMob with the offer from this affiliate network.
Follow the steps to proceed:
1. Click on Affiliate Networks
2. Press New From Template
3. Find your network
4. Copy Postback URL and paste on the side of the affiliate network
5. Click on Save

At this point you can create a campaign with no traffic source, it can be added later after testing the conversions passing.

Once you save the settings, the campaign links window will appear. You will need to copy the Campaign URL and send it to your affiliate network:

The affiliate network will be able to perform the conversion test using the campaign URL.
This option differs from Option 1 only in the final steps of the process.
All initial configurations described earlier — including the setup of your affiliate network, offer, and campaign — remain the same.
Instead of sharing the campaign URL with your affiliate network, copy the campaign link from BeMob and paste it into your browser’s address bar.
This will direct you to the offer page you intend to promote.

By accessing the campaign URL, BeMob registers a visit and automatically generates a unique 22-character Click ID for this click.
Go to your BeMob panel → Select the relevant Campaign from the campaign list.
Click the Report button.

Navigate to the Live Visits report.
Copy the Click ID corresponding to your test visit.

If you have offer and landing page in your campaign, it is required to access Live Clicks report and copy Click ID of your click.
Data of Live Visits and Live Clicks is stored for 24 hours only.
If the conversion test was performed with valid click ID, the conversion will be displayed in your report both on the side of your affiliate network and in BeMob.
To see the details on test conversion visit Conversions report. The conversion will also be visible in main statistics and dashboard.
On the side of your affiliate network the conversion with test click ID is visible in Statistics section.

If the test conversion didn't appear in BeMob reports, it means that the test failed.
Before you repeat the conversions test we advice to:
The log contains the essential data on campaign-related errors. To access the log click Errors tab on the panel.
Invalid Click ID or Click ID nor specified errors, as usual, mean that you click ID is not passed correctly.
